The journey

The Ghan runs between Adelaide and Darwin through the Red Centre, and can be travelled in either direction, all the while connecting to the incredible scenery of the Red Centre. There are two journeys on the Ghan. Travelling northbound, a three day adventure from Adelaide calling in to Marla, Alice Springs and Katherine. Southbound, the Ghan departs Darwin on a four day journey, stopping at Katherine, Coober Pedy and a unique dinner under the stars at Telegraph Station in Alice Springs.
